A roll forming machine works by fabricating particular presentations from long strips of metal. Different metals are used, though typically, these configurations are crafted from coiled steel. A typical standard roll forming machine can be divided into different sections. The first part of the line is where the metal enters the machine and is fed through from this point. It usually starts its journey as part of a continuous coil or large sheet.
The second section consists of the station rollers, and this is where the metal will begin to be manipulated into the desired shape. The rollers have duality in that they both bend the metal and drive it forwards to the next section of the line.
After passing through the station rollers, the metal will arrive at the cut off press. This is where the metal will be cut into a length according to the measurements that have been programmed into the machine. Once the cut has taken place, the metal will finally be passed through to the exit station, where the part leaves the roll former onto a conveyor belt or table where it will be collected or moved on.
